LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Police will make a "Special Announcement" the day after their show-opening performance at next weeks Grammy Awards, and possibly play a few tunes.
It seems like all speculation will end at an 11 a.m. PT press conference on Monday (Feb. 12th) at West Hollywood’s Whisky A Go Go.
It was Live Nation that made the press conference announcement and it probably would not be presumptuous to guess that Arthur Fogel, chairman of LN’s global touring, will oversee the tour.
Fogel and TNA have a history producing Sting's worldwide tours, and last year presented international runs by U2 and Madonna.
Los Angeles radio station, 93.1 Jack FM, is running a promotion which states:
JACK has the 411 on where to see The Police. This is not an event open to the public! It will be just you and your guest, media and a few other lucky JACK FM listeners. Enter the League to sign up for a chance to win a chance to check out The Police where a "Special Announcement" will be made to commemorate the bands 30th anniversary. Doctor's note excusing you from work not included!
The press conference and special announcement, via live satellite broadcast, is expected to be regarding a 30th anniversary world tour by the seminal rock trio…….ya think?
