ALHAMBRA, CA (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for Mainfest Alhambra, an event that bills itself as a music, art and lifestyle festival, announced that the event would not be returning for its second year.
Originally set for Sept. 9th in downtown Alhambra, California, the one-day festival featured a lineup that included headliners Purity Ring, Ghostland Observatory, Classixx, Polica, Poolside and Gavin Turek.
While organizers did not elaborate on the reason behind the cancellation, a post on their official website suggested that they ran into insurmountable organizational challenges.
"The Mainfest Alhambra team regrets the necessity for the cancellation, but wanted to ensure that they deliver the high-quality festival experience that was originally envisioned and executed in 2016, as well as what they feel concertgoers deserve," a spokesperson for Alhambra Mainfest wrote.
The festival reported a successful debut last year headlining act, Capital Cities, and other performers such as Miami Horror, Nite-Funk, Dead Sara, Thee Commons and SWIMM.
