Allianz Strikes Naming Rights Deal For New Brazilian Stadium

SAO PAULO, Brazil (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Insurance giant Allianz has signed a naming rights deal for Sao Paulo’s new outdoor stadium, which is currently under construction.

The 20-year agreement negotiated by AEG and WTorre on behalf of the ownership group with Allianz is the largest naming rights deal in the history of Brazil. When completed, the 60,000 capacity stadium will also include a 12,000-seat covered amphitheater setting within the venue’s main bowl and the stadium will anchor a development that includes a convention center, a shopping area, parking facilities, restaurants and other amenities.

The partnership group which includes Palmeiras, WTorre and Allianz revealed that they would hold a 30-day fan interactive contest/survey that will let the public vote on a new name for the stadium.

Would be voters can go online to cast a vote for the following names: Allianz Parque, Allianz Center or Allianz 360 with the name of the stadium ultimately based on the number of votes cast. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
