(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Over 300 people were already waiting to get in when the gates to this year's Glastonbury Festival opened today.
About 150,000 people are expected to attend the 3 day event which will feature music from such diverse artists as The White Stripes, Elvis Costello and The Chemical Brothers. Performances start on Friday.
In addition, the festival will feature numerous other attractions from a caberet and movie theater to a circus.
Good weather is anticipated for the sold-out festival. Festival Organizer Michael Eavis says he was very pleased with the ticket sales for this year's event. "In my opinion it did work a treat. We can't do better than that, really," he added.
The festival will take a hiatus in 2006, , which Mr Eavis says will be a chance "to stimulate the whole show". – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
