In its efforts to bring top entertainment and attractions to the 17,950-seat Comcast Center in College Park, MD, the University of Maryland has hired Global Spectrum to secure additional events for the three-year-old campus facility.
"Now in our fourth season at Comcast Center, we see the potential to be the premier sports and entertainment facility in the Baltimore-Washington Region," said University of Maryland Athletic Director Deborah Yow. "Global Spectrum has an outstanding reputation in the entertainment industry. They have all of the resources and the relationships with the agents, managers and promoters to bring us non-sporting events to our terrific facility."
"The Comcast Center is a beautiful facility in a terrific location with a lot to offer many of the world's top touring shows," said Global Spectrum Chief Operating Officer John Page. "Utilizing our relationships within the concert industry and creating synergistic opportunities within our family of more than 50 public assembly facilities, we're confident that we can deliver for the University." –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
