JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Guns N’ Roses has been confirmed as the main headliner for the My Coke Fests, to be held at the New Market Racecourse in Johannesburg on April 27 and at the Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town on May 1.
Sponsored by Coca-Cola and radio station partner 5FM, the 12-hour festival will also feature Evanescence, Hoobastank, Staind, 3 Doors Down, Springbok Nude Girls, and the Parlotones. The Johannesburg concert will also feature Evolver, Cassette and J. The Cape Town concert will also feature The Dirty Skirts, Love Jones and Taxi Violence.
“I've been fortunate enough to play in some of the most historic buildings and stadiums around the world but performing in South Africa will truly be an honor,” said G’N’R front man Axl Rose in a statement. “I can't wait to see South Africa. This is a dream come true.”
