LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation's Insomniac announced that it will be expanding its flagship EDM festival brand to Japan with the launch of an Electric Daisy branded event there in 2016.
The company has not released any information about the location or scope of the event, but the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas drew approximately 135,000 fans on each of its three days.
EDC has previously launched expansions in Mexico, Puerto Rico and the U.K., and will be staging an event in Brazil later this year.
For their new Japanese event, Insomniac is partnering with GMO Culture Incubation, the events production arm of Internet services company GMO Internet Group. – Staff Writers
