Jim Carrey Jumps To CAA

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Hollywood funnyman Jim Carrey has reportedly dropped United Talent Agency in favor of Richard Lovett’s services at Creative Artists Agency.

Carrey dropped veteran agent Nick Stevens after a hugely successful run of 15 years, guiding the comic’s career from “In Living Color” to “Ace Ventura” and beyond, to a level of $20 million roles achieved by few in the biz.

The New York Times reported that the move follows a trend of many comedic actors switching agents after a slump in the funny movie field.

Other notable acts recently making moves behind the scenes of their careers include Ben Stiler, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Vince Vaughn, Steve Carell, and writer-directors Judd Apatow and Adam McKay. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
