HELSINKI, Finland (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation's Finland operation is undergoing a shakeup as the company's lead promoter, Risto Juvonen, has announced that he's exiting the company.
A veteran promoter with 25 years of experience, Juvonen came aboard at Live Nation when the promoter (through SFX subsidiary EMA Telstar) acquired Welldone Agency & Promotions in 2000. Juvonen told Finnish broadcaster YLE that he was taking his leave because he feels he has achieved more in the field than he had ever anticipated, perhaps the Finnish equivilent of 'spending more time with his family.'
According to YLE, Scott Lavender will be taking over for Juvonen and Nina Castrén, currently the administrative director, will step up as the office's new CEO in August after the U2 concerts at the Olympic Stadium.
Administrative functions at Live Nation Finland will also be returning to the Finnish office in August after being handled in Sweden for several years. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
