NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Robert Plant, the former front man of the iconic rock band Led Zeppelin chalks up his career in rock, in part, to good luck.
During an interview with CNN's Becky Anderson, the 62-year-old musician said that he first got started with music at the tender age of 13.
"I was looking for a way out as I was a grammar school boy and doing three hours of homework a night and at that time it was 1961," Plant said. "You had Elvis telling us of another world. I don't know how much more expressive you can get than being a rock and roll singer."
Plant also took the opportunity to talk about his latest album, "Band of Joy," which also includes Patty Griffin and Buddy Miller on vocals and guitar, Byron House on bass, Darrell Scott on mandolin and Marco Giovino on the kit. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
