Roger Daltry To Tour

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Who frontman Roger Daltry has announced that he's set to embark on a series of UK tourdates where he will perform the Who's rock opera "Tommy" in its entirety as well as other Who classics.

The 15-date tour is set to kick off at Ragley Hall in Alcester on July 3rd before winding down at Powderham Castle in Exeter on July 24th.

Joining Daltry on this outing will be Frank Simes (guitar), Scott Deavours (drums), Jon Button(Bass), Loren Gold (Keyboards) and also on guitar will be Simon Townshend, younger brother of The Who's guitarist Pete Townshend.

The Who toured a "Tommy" reprise in 1989 but played only a selection of tracks from the album. More recently, Daltry and his current band performed the entirety of "Tommy" on March 11 to a standing room only crowd at London's Royal Albert Hall to strong reviews.

Who bandmate Pete Townshend commenting on the tour said, "Great to see Roger performing 'Tommy' with his band in 2011. I will be there in spirit and Roger has my complete and most loving support."
