(CelebrityAccess) — Jersey-based private equity and investment advisory CVC Capital Partners has joined Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co with an investment in the European festival company Superstruct.
The deal follows KKR’s acquisition of Superstruct in June and, according to CVC, the two private equity investors will leverage their combined resources and expertise to support the “next phase” of Superstruct’s development.
Since its debut in 2017, Superstruct has grown to become one of the leading producers of festivals in Europe and Australia, and the company behind events such as Wacken Open Air, Defqon.1, Parookaville, Tinderbox, Zwarte Cross and Sónar.
Along with their stake in Superstruct, CVC’s portfolio also includes investments in Stage Entertainment, Formula One, Women’s Tennis and LaLiga, among others along with fashion retailers Bathing Ape and Authentic Brands Group.
KKR’s portfolio includes music, media, and entertainment through notable investments in companies such as BMG, ProSiebenSat1, GetYourGuide, Mediawan and Trainline.
