(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Kelly Clarkson is returning to the Bay Area on December 21 at San Jose's HP Pavilion for a free concert for those who saw her perform there in September. Fans that attended her show at UC Berkeley's Greek Theatre on September 4 will be given complimentary tickets to the new concert date in San Jose.
Clarkson's performance at the Berkeley Greek Theatre was the last she played before being diagnosed with bronchitis. Even though she received no complaints and the fans thought the show was great, she knew it could be better and has decided to return for another performance.
"I love my fans, and they deserve the best that I can give," says Clarkson. "I promised them I'd come back when I was healthy and I am really looking forward to making this up to them."
Those who were at the Berkeley Greek Theatre concert on September 4 will be contacted through Ticketmaster and offered the opportunity to attend the new concert date compliments of Clarkson. Tickets to purchase for the new show will also be made available to additional fans.
After her show at the Berkeley Greek Theatre, Clarkson was forced to postpone five Hazel Eyes Tour stops: Santa Barbara, CA; Irvine, CA; Reno, NV; Las Vegas, NV; and Spokane, WA. As promised, she will return to each of those cities (with the exception of Santa Barbara) beginning December 10 in Las Vegas. The Santa Barbara date will be moved to next summer since it is outdoors. Clarkson will also play two new dates in her home state of Texas and one in Temecula, CA. The Hazel Eyes Tour began on June 29. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
