JACKSONVILLE, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Gregg Allman was released from the hospital on July 2nd, and appears to be on the road to recovery following a successful liver transplant.
In an email, Allman wrote: "I got up early and watched the sunrise on the beach this morning, which was amazing. I'm feeling pretty good and moving around well and we're going to start talking soon about getting back out on the road, later this year."
Allman is reportedly now staying with friends as he recovers from the surgery and receives follow-up medical care. Allman is best known as the keyboardist, guitarist and a songwriter for the Allman Brothers.
