LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation, which staged Live8 concerts in London, Philadelphia, and Berlin in 2005, will promote the upcoming Live Earth benefit concerts in London and New York on July 7. Kevin Hall, founder of Live Earth and Control Room CEO, is the worldwide producer of the seven-continent, 24-hour event.
"We are very pleased to have been entrusted to stage the concert at the new Wembley Stadium in London and are anticipating massive demand for Live Earth tickets,” said Stuart Galbraith, managing director Live Nation (UK) Music.
"It is a testament to our global reach at Live Nation that we are able to stage concerts on two continents simultaneously on the same day," said Bruce Moran, president of Live Nation New York. "This is an extraordinary undertaking and we are proud to be involved in the production of this event in multiple cities around the world."
Tickets for the London event will be allocated by ballot beginning on April 13, in an effort to ensure that all music fans have an equal opportunity to access tickets. In the United States tickets will go on sale April 16 at 10a.m. EDT.
