Man Sues Live Nation Over Alleged Concert Injuries

ATLANTA (CelebrityAccess) — An Alabama man is suing Atlanta, Live Nation Entertainment and the Truth Initiative Foundation due to injuries that he alleges he received while attending the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival at Lakewood Amphitheater on July 29, 2015.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Joshua James Dugas was watching the concert at the Lakewood when he claims an unknown man struck over the head with a skateboard. Dugas claims the attack left him confused and stated that he passed out and collapsed after being taken to an onsite medical tent. He was later transported to an area hospital for treatment, the AJC said.

Dugas claims to have accumulated more than $40,000 in medical bills and alleges that he suffered “continuing and permanent injuries” that have inflicted emotional and economic injuries.

The lawsuit includes the non-profit Truth initiative, who they allege were distributing skateboards at the festival, as well as Live Nation and Atlanta, who the suit assets failed to protect Dugas from the "unruly, dangerous crowd.”

Truth and Atlanta said they had not yet been served with the complaint, and therefore could not comment. Live Nation did not return a message, the AJC said. – Staff Writers
