LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ravi Shankar has postponed his Wednesday performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall due to illness.
The legendary sitarist and composer was set to perform as part of the LA Philharmonic’s World Music series.
The musician is currently in the midst of a tour, with daughter Anoushka Shankar, celebrating his 90th birthday. His next scheduled appearance is at the Ikeda Theater – Mesa Arts Center, near Phoenix, AZ. A spokeswoman for the center said the concert on Saturday is still set to take place according to the LA Times.
Future engagements on Shankar's tour include San Francisco, Chicago, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
