(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Wembley London has announced a new multi-year contract establishing Ticketmaster as the preferred ticket provider for Wembley Arena, Conference and Exhibition Centre, effective March 1, 2006.
Under the terms of the agreement, Wembley Arena will utilize Ticketmaster’s state-of-the-art ticketing platform, including AccessManager, an access control and ticket authentication system, allowing the venue to monitor entry traffic, validate tickets in real time and speed entry into the venue, as well as ticketFast, technology that allows consumers to download and print tickets from their own computer.
Peter Tudor, general manager, Wembley Arena said, “2006 is looking to be an exceptionally busy year for the Arena with 50 events already confirmed and many more scheduled. The first show after our £35 million refurbishment will be Depeche Mode who re-open the venue on 2 April 2006. We are confident that Ticketmaster will be an exciting addition to the Wembley Arena offering, providing ticketing support and efficient sales distribution to the one million consumers that come to the Arena each year.”
“Wembley Arena is among the world’s most famous indoor music venues and we look forward to providing them with access to all the ticketing products, technology and services needed to support their business and sell more tickets,” said Chris Edmonds, managing director, Ticketmaster. “We are committed to offering our clients the superior service and fast and easy ticketing solution they deserve.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
