(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Construction on New Jersey’s first House of Blues nightclub is underway on the boardwalk side of the Showboat Casino-Hotel. It is expected to open in July
The $65.5 million project will include 26 suites, a two-story music hall, restaurant and club and an outdoor seating area for the summer. Harrah’s Entertainment, which owns the Showboat, will officially announce the project on January 6, with actor Dan Aykroyd, one of the club’s owners and founder.
According to Dave Jonas, vice president of Atlantic City operations for Harrah's Entertainment, a grand opening celebration will run throughout the summer. — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
