FAYETTEVILLE, Georgia (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Rick Ross and his bodyguard were denied bond by a Fayette County judge after being arrested and charged assault and kidnapping charges on Wednesday.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Ross, 39, and bodyguard Nadrian Lateef James, 42, were arrested on Wednesday in connection with an alleged June 7th assault at Ross's home in Fayetteville. Ross whose real name is is William Leonard Roberts II, was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and kidnapping. James was charged with aggravated battery and kidnapping.
Channel 2 Action News reported that warrants allege Ross and James struck a man with a handgun, dislodging two of the man's teeth and causing other injuries to the man's face and jaw. The motive and other details of the assault are unclear, though Channel 2 said the man was believed to be working on Ross's home.
This isn't Ross's first encounter with the law and he was charged in Fayette County on June 10 with misdemeanor marijuana possession. He has been arrested several times in the past on marijuana possession charges as well, in Miami (2008), Louisiana (2011) and North Carolina (2013). – Staff Writers
